SYMPTOMS

Okra seeds treated inadequately may show pre-emergence rot, and seedlings that emerge develop dark, water-soaked lesions at the stem base, leading to damping-off. Farmers notice poor, patchy germination and collapsed seedlings with shriveled, discolored stems near the soil surface.
