SYMPTOMS

Onion seedlings emerging from infected or untreated seed show damping-off symptoms including water-soaked, pinched stem bases and collapsed seedlings in patches. Purple blotch or basal rot symptoms may also appear early, with dark lesions at the stem base and yellowing of leaf tips.
