Fruit Rot in Watermelon

SYMPTOMS

Watermelon fruits develop soft, water-soaked areas on the rind that rapidly expand and turn brown to black, often covered with white or gray fungal mycelium. The rotted tissue collapses inward, producing a foul odor, and the fruit becomes completely unmarketable.
