Serpentine Leaf Miner in Watermelon
SYMPTOMS
Irregular silvery-white serpentine trails or blotches are visible on the upper leaf surface of watermelon, caused by fly larvae tunneling through leaf mesophyll tissue. Heavily infested leaves lose green color, dry up, and die, reducing the plant's ability to photosynthesize.
